  "First time writer-director Francisco Aliwalas
shows a deft touch in this wistful comedy."
- Kevin Thomas, LOS ANGELES TIMES

DISORIENTED, the first film about Filipino-Americans,
is a unique comedy about an all (Asian) American boy
coming of age and his confused family coming to grips with
their American Dreams. Independently produced in sleepy
Albany, NY, this 35mm English language film emerged as a
favorite on the film festival circuit, having charmed audiences
in all four corners of the United States. Filipino-American
director, Francisco Aliwalas (left), also stars in this touching
and outrageous comedy-drama that weaves its way around
family pressures and racial stereotypes.
  THE STORY
Chasing the American dream has West Cordova trapped in
a nightmare. His overbearing mother is bent on shaping him
into a surgeon. His crazy, "wannabe-a-supermodel," Japanese
girlfriend craves blonde hair and round eyes. And his long
lost, jock brother just returned home having traded his high
tops for high heels. If young "Doctor" Cordova can pass
premed, mend his fractured family and revive his romance,
he may just discover the cure for his own unraveling identity.

HOLLYWOOD CALLING?
Despite sellout houses and wildly popular screenings, the
studios are reluctant to distribute a film featuring Asian Americans
actors, claiming there is "no audience for it." Exhuberant crowds
of all ages and races who have seen Disoriented would say otherwise.
We believe America is hungry for alternative, yet accessible films, and
our company, Pinatubo Films
, is dedicated to telling these untold stories.

  DISTRIBUTION AND YOU
Your support will secure distribution for this entirely self-funded
movie
. Producer Doug Bachman & director Francisco Aliwalas scraped
together savings to realize their dream. The more support, the
more the studios will believe there is an audience for indie films
that don't feature guys with guns, smoking cigarettes and spitting
Tarantino lines. Hey, we love those movies too, but isn't it about
time for something different. Something a little Disoriented.

Thanks for keeping the faith, Doug & Francisco
